Thank You for Puck and Calla
Our household currently has 5 kitties, one very small dog and a couple of fishtanks. Two of these are shamrock kitties Puck & Calla (formerly known as Arnie & Angela), and they are utterly adored!!! They are the best kitties anyone could imagine and we are so glad to have them, even if Soleil and Maga still think they’re pesky vermin kin.

Pet overpopulation is such a tragic issue, and no matter how much we try it never seems to lessen. So, we try to do our part, and this time it turned into a happy home for these 2 siblings. I had donated an item to the Art for the Animals (2004) auction and attended the event thinking I might make a donation and maybe pick up a new piece of art. Of course, I perused the auction tables, had some fine munchies and wine – but the best thing I saw was this little bitty boy kitty who was being carried around by a volunteer. He was such a tiny thing, and oh so cute. Next thing I know I called my husband and said I was thinking of adopting this kitty and he said why not bring home two. It was very hard to choose one sibling from the litter of 5, you just really feel like you want them all. But, I think Calla must have wedged her way into my hands, no one was going to take her baby brother without her. These two are the best pals, they love each other so much and we have felt sincere joy since they’ve joined our family.

Thanks to all the Shamrock volunteers for your difficult, yet rewarding efforts!
